Lieber Bhathiya,
wieder zuhause angekommen, sind wir noch ganz in Gedanken an Sri Lanka und die wundervolle Reise auf welcher Du uns begleitet hast. Die 3 Wochen mit Dir als Fahrer und Guide waren für uns ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis, da Du uns auf wunderbare Weise Dein Land, die Sprache, die Kultur und Religion näher gebracht hast.
Wir konnten uns auf Dich immerzu verlassen, auf Deine Pünktlichkeit, die vorausschauende und vorsichtige Art Deinen Van durch den Verkehr zu manövrieren und gleichzeitig noch alle Wünsche von uns zu erfüllen.
Wir fühlten uns bei Dir immer sicher und Du hattest immer ein besonderes Auge auf unsere Tochter. Wir danken Dir dafür.
Wir begannen unsere Reise in Negombo, fuhren weiter nach Anuradhapura um die alten religiösen Zentren von Sri Lanka zu bewundern. Du hast uns gezeigt, wo wie die perfekte klassische Ayuvedische Massage genießen konnten, hast für uns einen Elefantenritt möglich gemacht, bei welchem wir direkt auf dem Elefantennacken sitzen durften und uns gezeigt wie man mit den Fingern isst und eine King Coconut ohne Strohhalm trinkt.
Über Sigiriya und die Strände des Ostens ging unsere Fahrt weiter in das Zentrum von Sri Lanka zu den berühmten Höhlentempeln von Dambulla in die große Stadt Kandy mit dem großartigen Zahntempel und sahen die alljährlich stattfindende große Prozession (Perera). Über die Berge von Nuwara Eliya und Ella setzten wir unsere Reise fort. Du hast problemlos organisiert, dass wir ein Stück der Strecke mit dem Zug fahren konnten und uns punktgenau an unserer Endhaltestelle wieder abgeholt.Die Teeplantagen waren großartig und Du hast uns wieder mal mit Lipton´s Seat einen umwerfenden Platz gezeigt, der seinesgleichen sucht. Einen 360° Ausblick, der wunderschön war. Auf unserer weiteren Fahrt in den Süden mit seinen perfekten Stränden konntest Du uns natürlich jedes Highlight zeigen. Vielen Dank - (Bohoma Sthuthei)! Wir können Bhathiya nur wärmstens als Fahrer und Guide empfehlen und danken Dir, lieber Bhathiya für diese unvergessliche Zeit mit Dir.

We just finished a 7 day road trip in Sri Lanka with Bhathiya Chamal our driver. He was fantastic, very punctual, dependable and a very safe driver. I contacted Bathia about 3 weeks before travelling and he assisted me in putting a good plan to see a lot during a 7 days visit. He picked us up at our hotel in Colombo at the agreed time and preceded without a hitch over the next 7 days travelling to Danbulla, Kandy, Nuwarlya, Galle then dropped us at the airport. Thanks to Bhathiya, we were able to see and learn a lot about Sri Lanka. Bhathiya was always where he is supposed to be at the agreed time and kept his van very clean. He was our guide and when he did not assume this role, he arranged beforehand for us to have a knowledgeable guide available to show us around.
I highly recommend Mr. Bhathiya for anyone wishing to have an enjoyable, trouble free visit and most important no surprises…

We spend seven days with Bathy as our guide. We are a family with young children and it was really really nice to have Bathy with us to show his amazing country. We had no worries. Bathy was our ready to help us with everything, from the beggining with the plan of the trip to the end of it. His car is very spacious and confortable. He really know the culture and the country and he is a very safe driver. My kids loved him. Thanks so much Bathy, to you and to your lovely family.
I really recomend him. We were in an Asia trip along 14 countries and he was our best guide.

You are the prefect guide, kind, friendly, polite, experienced in cultural differences, knowing your country very well to the last tiny detail. You have done your absolutely best to make this trip unforgettable for us! Your guesthouse recommendations turned out to be much better than everything I had found on trip advisor etc and with your help we could change guesthouses twice! You proofed to be very flexible, able to change plans in case of any unforeseen circumstances and even managed to find interesting reptile related spots for me, like the fisherman on the side of the road who had trained monitor lizards to take food from his hand or the Ayurvedic snakebite doctor who showed us all venomous species of Sri Lanka many thanks for this!!
We enjoyed a splendid trip and great time with you and will definitely recommend you to our friends for your kindness, knowledge, going the extra mile for your guests every time and perfect services - you are a brilliant guide and a safe driver! - And next time I may even be able to learn yoga from you :-)

Dear Bhathiya,
it's already more than 1 week ago that we are back in Germany. Time flies.
Many thanks for the wonderful holiday we had in Sri Lanka. It's not only the amazing culture, the beautiful countryside it's the people that make the difference. One of those is you, Bhathi.
We don't want to write about the things we did as it's more or less the same all do in Sri Lanka. We really want you to know you did a great job with passion and love. We are sure your business will grow and we will definitely recommend you as guide and driver.
Many thanks again for the big birthday cake you arranged for me (Sandra) and all the things you organised for us as a gift (we shared some spices with Family and friends).

Our Honeymoon tour of Sri Lanka,
On the 10th of April 2012 we took a tour around Sri Lanka, visiting Yala National Park, Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Dalada Malaigawa.
Having spent the first week of our holiday lazing on the beaches of Unawatuna, we where relaxed and ready for an adventure trough the beautiful Sri Lankan hill county. Our driver Bhathiya gave us exactly that and much more!
Bhathiya gave us a fantastic insight into his country, he was a superb driver/guide very informative, entertaining and made us feel welcome and safe.
We very much would recommend him.

We are very happy with the vehicle/driver assigned to us. The driver, Mr. Bhathiya is a very nice and honest person. Accommodation was excellent and affordable and we were able to manage the trip in our budget, this was important given the large group of people we had.

Hi Bhathiya,

Bhathiya then drove us high up in to the mountains to Ella, a pretty village in the mountains where we stayed, our hotel had great views overlooking Ella gap. Bhatia recommended great places to eat and wonderful walks. Early the next day we took a stunning train journey in the mountains to Nuwara Eliya where Bhatia met us with our bags. On our journey we visited some beautiful waterfalls and tea plantations and also had a very interesting tour at a tea factory. Our final stop was to watch the elephants bathing in the river at Pinnawela, our favourite part of the tour. Our hotel overlooked the stunning river with amazing views. Bhathiya then saw us safely to the airport and we said our goodbyes. Bhathiya is a friendly family man; he speaks excellent English and has a great sense of humour. Bhathiya’s minibus is very comfortable and he is a very safe driver. The tour was perfect and we highly recommend contacting Bhathiya when you visit Sri Lanka.

Great impressions of Sri Lanka,

In June 2012 Bhathiya did a trip with us: on the way to Kandy we visited the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. In Kandy we had a nice walk through the city and went to Kandy temple and the traditional dance. The next day we went to Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage) with impressive frescos. Further we went to Polonnaruwa and Dambulla (Golden Temple). On the way we saw a lot of the country and Bhathiya introduced us to traditional rice and curry! We also visited a turtle farm, which is a highlight especially for children… Bhathiya was a great and save driver and provided insights into the country!
Therefore we`d strongly like to recommend him!

Aayubowan ! Nous venons de passer 10 jours au Sri Lanka dont 5 jours en compagnie de Bathiya, notre guide et chauffeur. Il nous a fait découvrir le pays sous tous les angles, c est très agréable d autant plus qu il y avait quasiment pas de touristes. Bathiya est vraiment très soucieux de notre confort et donne le maximum pour rendre le voyage le plus agréable et enrichissant possible ! Je conseille donc vivement à tous ceux qui désirent visiter ce pays de s adresser à lui pour découvrir Sigirhiya, Dambulla, Yala et son jungle tour, Kandy botanical garden, Ella, elephant orphenage, sans oublier de passer quand même au moins 3 jours sur les plages de Unawatuna, Tangalle et si possible voir les baleines bleues à Mirissa.......! Pour ma part je fais de la pub pour le Sri Lanka et Bathiya auprès de les amis, ma famille et dans mon travail ! Et plusieurs semblent déjà intéressés ! Reste plus qu'à avoir les finances !
Merci encore à toi Bathiya pour les papadum, pour nous avoir appris à manger comme les cinghalais : avec les doigts ! Et pour ta gentillesse, ta disponibilité et ton sourire. J'ai énormément de travail et suis suis très occupée mais promis quand j aurai un peu de tels je t enverrai un petit colis comme prévu. Merci pour tes messages (en français !) ! Virginie et René
